Old historical porcelain dolls are a great inspiration source for my final exam collection 2008. The collection shows the game between the artificial and the natural. The smooth and perfection of porcelain which is, with regard to form, invariable and binding to the silhouette of the body it stipulates, compared with the woolly materials that exhibit or even emphasize the body. The combination of these elements arouses a feeling of disturbance. The expectations of the viewer are constantly interrupted by surprisingly forcing unexpected shapes in a binding manner whilst trying to find a balance between the textiles and shape.
