MANMAID is a shortfilm depicting a future scenario of a world where humans are no longer the ones in control. The invention that emerged due to blindingly exciting opportunities, called AI, no longer serves as an aid to humans, but has taken measures into its own ‘hands’. Mankind has been captivated, domesticated and observed by their own creation. The film takes place in an AI created human zoo, where small groups of people are held captive in 4 different ‘natural’ habitats. The habitats are; a research lab, an art gallery, a prison, and a place of worship. An AI gives the visitors a tour through the zoo, whilst educating them about its inhabitants’ strange ways of being.
