My concept is a development of a Japanese concept/term called “Ma”.

Ma is a term that magically includes time and space at the same time and roughly can be translated as a “gap” or an interval between two or more spatial or temporal things or events.

Ma is a dialog between things, and this “in-between-ness” is essentially what I have tried to capture in my collection. In-between the clothes and the wearer, in-between the garments construction and the surroundings, but essentially the moment in-between what has happened and what is going to happen. It is for me a wearable comment to the omnipresent sense of speed in modern society.
