About youth and manhood

A place between youth and manhood tells the story of an adolescent growing up in the infantilized society of today. The infantilization of society refers to the childish products and customers in an economy that focuses on children as consumers. If we live in a society where everybody stays young, how do we grow up as adults then? Growing up becomes staying young, so staying young becomes being an adult.
In my collection I combine the adolescent attitude with childlike behaviour and products in form, materials and prints like using chalkboard paint on fabric and making use of figure drawing in order to form a jacket. I exaggerate the infantilization, quasi I infantilize my clothes as society infantilizes us.
