Lotte Mostert fashion designer, born in 1987 in the Netherlands.
The child of two creative parents who studied both at the Art Academie, it was Lotte’ s mom who learned here to handle the hand sewing machine of her grandma.
In her childhood her mom was stitching all the clothes of here 4 daughters by her self. And so, on a very jong age Lotte started to sew here one clothes by her self . In this years she developed her love for fashion and pattern making that brought here to the tailoring and confection development school in the Haque when she was 16 years old.
In the second year of this study Lotte followed her internship at Els Roseboom Fashion and Pattern Design in Amsterdam where she worked on patterns and show pieces of Percy Irausquin (20-08-2010), Jan Taminiau and Frans Molenaar.
In the fourth and final year Lotte 19 at that moment, decided to move to Antwerp to follow her internship of 7 months at Veronique Branquinho. With Veronique Branquinho Lotte discovered the Paris Fashion week and the level of designers that are presenting their collections in Paris. From that moment on, it is clear for Lotte that she wants to work internationally.
After graduation she does admission at the Royal Academie of Art The Haque and start the next 4 years studie of Fashion and Textile design. During the first year Lotte is still working for Veronique Branquinho during fashion weeks. Lotte loves to be in Antwerp and Parijs and she got to know the work of Fashion Designer Haider Ackermann.
In the fourth year of her study Fashion and Textile design Lotte moved to Antwerp again, this time to follow here 3 mound internship at Atelier Haide Ackermann in the summer of 2010. Even before ending here internship she got the guaranty for a job at Haider Ackermann. Important to her is to graduate first. And so she graduated 10 months later with a sober and sensitive collection which she get nominated for the Lichting 2011. Directly after Lotte moved to Antwerp to start her job at Atelier Haider Ackermann as Pattern cutter/assistent styling. After some months she steps over to a new experience and starts working as product developer/collection manager where she was responsible for the development, quality and timing of the men and women collections. This work she did till march 2014, when she decided to quit her work at Atelier Haider Ackermann and starts to make a new portfolio with her own work as a Fashion designer.
Today Lotte is working on her own collection, guest lecturer & creative consultant and as freelance Fashion and Textile designer on projects with different companies.
