Kids from the house

The preparation ritual of women before they go out and leave their private spaces, inspired me. This “party” collection is about the tension between the different roles we play in different settings, depending on a private or public character. You-tube make-up tutorials cupture both roles in one frame. In the front you see de public role, and the personal front the hostess creates to succeed in this role. On the background you see the sleping or living rooms. As an observer you get the feeling that you know the maker a little bit by knowing what kind of blankets she has, or which poster she puts on her wall. By involving the interior in this collection, the clothes become more personal then clothes already are.
