When and why did you decide to study Fashion?

I guess this was ’cause of my fathers white socks. I couldn’t understand how he could wear white socks in sandals even when it was 40 degrees outside. So i believe this could be the starting point for me to think about the way people dress. The creativity is a family thing, my mother always gave me clay to make puppets and other crafting creations. During high school i followed a course costume art what made me really enthusiastic.

What is your opinion about Lichting?

It’s great that they take an interest in students that are just finished. The people are really inspiring with their enthusiasm. It’s a good thing that you meet all those students to see what they are doing, we are all so different and i think it’s a great opportunity to learn from each other in this way. If it would be possible in the future, they should invite all the graduates!!

What will be your next step after graduation?

I am attending a master at the VU , Design & Cultures. I always felt curiosity in the story behind design. The way we dress tells the story about the culture and the other way around. The big ‘why?’ question kept on following me and this triggered me to take more interest in those subjects.
