When and why did you decide to study Fashion?
Already as a little girl I knew it would be something creative. Drawing and making collages were the only things that kept me interested, but when I knew for sure was around the age of 14. One afternoon I was bored and my Dad (!) showed me how the sewing machine worked, from then on the process of sewing objects and clothes began.

What is your opinion about Lichting?
It is beautiful that we have the possibility to show our work again at Amsterdam Fashion Week to professionals from the industry. A crazy and really exciting experience to get feedback for the first time from people outside the academy bubble you lived in for four years.  But it also is really great how much I have already learned from the other participants from Lichting, e.g. about the different ways we approach our working process and how every designer has its own way of presenting her- or himself.

What will be your next step after graduation?
I would like to work some more on my portfolio for a little while, so I feel confident enough to show my work and apply for an internship or Master. Because of my internship last summer I learned so much about myself and how important it is to work together with different people.
