When and why did you decide to study Fashion?

When I was little I already made drawings for my mother so she could sew my clothing and it sounds a bit cliché but I was also making clothes for my barbie dolls.

After I finished my secondary school I did a technical education for fashion and clothing and in my last year I did an internship at dutch fashion designer Mada van Gaans.

After that I decided to go to AMFI to do Fashion & Design because I really enjoy creating clothes and love to handwork.

What is your opinion about Lichting?

I think it’s great platform for young designers to show themselves to a larger public. It’s a good opportunity to gain more knowledgde in presenting yourself to professionals. Therefore the workshops from HTNK are very helpful!

What will be your next step after graduation?

I think it’s good to work for a designer for a while to see how it goes in real life. Ofcourse I would love to start my own label but that’s something I have to see and have to discover over time.
