For this project, I was inspired by a fictive man living separated from society. Somewhere in a hut isolated from every kind of civilization. I made a lot of research about real cases of social isolation. I was fascinated by the way those people lived, totally independently and without any social contact with other individuals.

I interviewed my imaginary subject to ask him how his world looked like. What his opinion was on society. What his fascinations were. From there I started thinking about what this man would wear.

I was inspired by army clothing and survival garments. As well as the world I imagined surrounding him, his hut, the object he would own, his environment. From there I started designing, working a lot with collages to imagine what this person would need and wear to survive in his world.
